Devotion to punishment

When programing what I do for my workouts I don't just design them day to day. I design them month to month. This allows me to more easily make sense of what I'm doing and how i'm getting there. It's better for progress to see a clear picture of where you've been and where your going.
Keeping a workout log is great, but planning your workouts far in advance in that log is even better.

O.K. this was was yesterday's workout....

5x5 pushpress @180lbs

5x5 backsquat @ 255lbs
superseted with....
5x5 weighted pullups @ 80lbs(hanging dumbell from belt)

Today's workout was....
5x5 deadlift @ 325lbs. Posted by Picasa

Damn, that is some serious ass-bustin' lifting. Nice job. Like what you said about programming well in advance. Like any other goal, it makes sense to lay out the day to day objectives. It also takes away the "Hmmm, what workout should I do today?" dilemna that so many people create for themselves.

Did Shari mention the 100 rep challenge thing to you? If not, we discussed it on her blog, in the post "Birthday Flowers".

I just did 5x5 front squat at 165 and 5x5 Bent-Over-Row at 145, followed by 14 rounds in 20 minutes of 6 pushups, 10 situps, 14 walking lunges. I'm beat.

I haven't posted forever so you might not even get this but the clothing line is coming along. I just finished up with all the liscening and bank stuff. I have a lot of clothing ready to be screened, dyed and embroiderd. I will have a site to purchase from and will keep you posted. B
